TNS3

TNS3 (Tensin 3) is a Protein Coding gene. Diseases associated with TNS3 include Anisakiasis. Among its related pathways are MET promotes cell motility and Signaling by GPCR. Gene Ontology (GO) annotations related to this gene include phosphatase activity. An important paralog of this gene is TNS1.
Full Name
TNS3
Function
May play a role in actin remodeling. Involved in the dissociation of the integrin-tensin-actin complex. EGF activates TNS4 and down-regulates TNS3 which results in capping the tail of ITGB1. Seems to be involved in mammary cell migration. May be involved in cell migration and bone development (By similarity).
Biological Process
Biological Process dephosphorylation Source:InterPro
Cellular Location
Cell junction, focal adhesion
PTM
EGF/epidermal growth factor induces tyrosine phosphorylation in a time- and dose-dependent manner.
