Introduction
Dimethylarginine dimethylaminohydrolase 1 (DDAH1) belongs to the dimethylarginine dimethylaminohydrolase (DDAH) gene family. DDAH1 plays a role in nitric oxide generation by regulating cellular concentrations of methylarginines, which in turn inhibit nitric oxide synthase activity.
