Storage and Shipping

Regarding products storage and shipping, our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) will answer your questions comprehensively. If you still have any other questions, please contact us.

  1. How are the products packaged?
  2. The majority of our antibody products are stable at room temperature for long periods of time that are shipped in a 4ºC refrigerated packaging. Sometimes, some special products are packaged and shipped in dry ice.

  3. What storage conditions do you recommend for your products?
  4. If for short term storage, we suggest you store at 4°C. Long time storage is recommended at -20ºC.

  5. What is the difference of the shipping conditions between your products?
  6. Most of our products are stable at room temperature for long-term such as antibodies, thus they are shipped in ambient temperature or 4ºC refrigerated packaging and shipping. However, other product types that are significantly sensitive to temperature changes such as antigens and some active proteins generally are shipped with dry ice. If you have any specific shipping requirements, please contact us.

  7. What are your shipping, handling & packaging charges for dry ice shipping?
  8. If products require dry ice shipping that will be shipped separately, if ordered with other products, with both Freight/Packaging charges applying. Thus, dry ice shipping costs are higher than normal shipments due to special shipping requirements.

  9. The antibody I received was shipped at ambient temperature. Could this have damaged the antibody?
  10. In many cases, it is not necessary to keep the products cooled during shipping. This is always true for lyophilized antibodies, but may also apply to antibodies sold in a liquid format. However, you should notice the storage recommendations stipulated in the data sheet once you receive the products.

  11. Why should I store my antibody in aliquots?
  12. To avoid repeated freezing and thawing of your antibodies we often recommend using aliquots. It also can avoid contamination problems of products. Usually, the optimal size of the aliquots depends on your usage and aliquot the product accordingly. Importantly, you should be careful to aliquot the antibodies under sterile conditions and only with sterile buffers/solutions.

  13. How can I avoid thawing and refreezing my antibody?
  14. An optimal option is to maintain the antibody in a liquid state in the presence of glycerol at -20 °C. For this purpose, dilute the solution 1:1 with highly purified glycerol as anti-freeze, and. the use of glycerol can inhibit the formation of damaging ice crystals. Please note that this protection does not work at temperatures of -80 °C.

  15. When do you ship?
  16. All in-stock orders received Monday through Friday will be shipped in 1-2 weeks.

  17. What is the timeline for shipping?
  18. The timeline is different since diverse requests on different countries. Generally, for Europe and North America we ship for delivery in 2-3 days. For other parts of the world, depending on the country, the transit time is between 3-5 days. If you sometimes need fast delivery, please email us for details.

  19. How much is the shipping cost to my country?
  20. We generally use FedEx International priority for all shipments, and all duties and taxes are to be paid by the recipient of the shipment. Please note that for customers who use their own FedEx account number, the shipping cost is invoiced directly by FedEx, and the cost may differ from different countries.

  21. What are the shipping charges if I use our own FedEx account?
  22. Please make sure to state your FedEx account number on your order if you would like to use your own FedEx account for the shipping cost. Thus, the shipping charges may differ from those specified in our shipping terms. In this case, we do not have access to information on the freight cost for customers who use their own FedEx account, and this cost is charged per the customers’ individual contract with FedEx.

  23. Do you offer shipping with tracking?
  24. We usually use FedEx International priority for shipment, and we will provide customers the Tracking Number once the product is dispatched. Thus, you can track your logistics information through Tracking Number.
