AKT Pathway Phosphorylation Antibody Array

Akt signaling is an important transduction pathway that plays a critical role in controlling the balance between cell survival and apoptosis. Several Akt substrate proteins have been identified, few have been implicated in the genesis or progression of melanoma. Akt activation is initiated when the translocated Akt is phosphorylated on T308 residue by phosphoinositide-dependent kinase-1. When the second phosphorylation site S473 is phosphorylated by rapamycin-insensitive mTORC2, complete activation is achieved. Prior phosphorylation of Y315 and Y326 residues is a pre-requisite for the activation of Akt kinases. Activated Akt phosphorylates GSK3α/β, PRAS40, NFκB and many other proteins. The AKT signaling network plays a major functional role in cells that are often dysregulated in vascular abnormalities, including endothelial cells (ECs), vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs), and macrophages.

Improved understanding of the molecular wiring of the AKT signaling network continues to make an impact that cuts across most disciplines of biomedical sciences. Creative Biolabs developed AKT signaling pathway phosphorylation screening service with antibody array, which consists of 137 phospho-specific antibodies and more than 130 phosphorylation sites involved in AKT signaling pathways can be tested.
