Is the antibody validated against other alcohol dehydrogenases or the IDH enzymes which also produce D-2-HG?

This antibody is highly specific for ADHFE1 (Class VIII iron-containing ADH) and should not cross-react with the highly homologous zinc-dependent ADHs (Class I-V). Crucially, it must be screened against IDH1/2 mutant forms (the other D-2-HG producers) to ensure that its detection is specific to the ADHFE1-driven metabolic pathway.

Catalyzes the cofactor-independent reversible oxidation of gamma-hydroxybutyrate (GHB) to succinic semialdehyde (SSA) coupled to reduction of 2-ketoglutarate (2-KG) to D-2-hydroxyglutarate (D-2-HG). D,L-3-hydroxyisobutyrate and L-3-hydroxybutyrate (L-3-OHB) are also substrates for HOT with 10-fold lower activities.
