CD90.1

Introduction

CD90.1 is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily, also called Thy1, which ranges from 25 to 35 kD. It's expressed in hematopoietic stem cells, neurons, all thymocytes and peripheral T lymphocytes. CD90.1 is a glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored membrane glycoprotein involved in signal transduction. Costimulation of lymphocyte proliferation and activation, as well as differentiation of hematopoietic stem cells are also linked to CD90.1. CD90.1 was shown to interact with CD45.
