A form of epileptic encephalopathy, a heterogeneous group of severe early-onset epilepsies characterized by refractory seizures, neurodevelopmental impairment, and poor prognosis. DEE79 is an autosomal dominant form characterized by onset of refractory seizures in the first months of life.
