An autosomal recessive disorder characterized by global developmental delay, variably impaired intellectual development, speech delay, facial dysmorphism, microcephaly, and varying degrees of cortical malformations including pachygyria, thin corpus callosum and subcortical band heterotopia. Most patients have generalized seizures.
