Tnfrsf22
Tnfrsf22 is a receptor for the cytotoxic ligand TNFSF10/TRAIL. Lacks a cytoplasmic death domain and hence is not capable of inducing apoptosis. It protects cells against TRAIL mediated apoptosis possibly through ligand competition. It cannot induce the NF-kappa-B pathway.
Full Name
Tumor Necrosis Factor Receptor Superfamily, Member 22
Function
Receptor for the cytotoxic ligand TNFSF10/TRAIL. Lacks a cytoplasmic death domain and hence is not capable of inducing apoptosis. Protects cells against TRAIL mediated apoptosis possibly through ligand competition. Cannot induce the NF-kappa-B pathway.
