Lyophilized
Reconstitution
Allow the vial and reconstitution buffer to equilibrate to room temperature. Briefly centrifuge or tap down the vial to ensure that all lyophilized powder is collected at the bottom of the vial. For the reconstitution of this product, we recommend adding PBS or sterile water to achieve a final antibody concentration of 1 mg/mL. Allow the vial to reconstitute for 10-15 minutes at room temperature with gentle agitation. Avoid vigorous shaking that can cause foaming and antibody denaturation. Aliquot into volumes based on your experiment and store liquid protein at -20°C or -80°C for long time.
Buffer
Lyophilized from sterile Tris, NaCl, Glutathione, EDTA, DTT, Glycerol
Preservative
None
Storage
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20°C to -80°C. Store it under sterile conditions at -20°C to -80°C. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Target

Full Name
Fc Fragment Of IgG Receptor IIIa
Alternative Names
Fc Fragment Of IgG Receptor IIIa; Fc Fragment Of IgG; Low Affinity IIIa; Receptor (CD16a); Fc Gamma Receptor IIIa; IgG Fc Receptor III-2; Fc-Gamma RIII-Alpha; Fc-Gamma RIIIa; Fc-Gamma RIII; CD16a Antigen; FCRIIIA; FCR-10; FCRIII; FCGR3; CD16A; IGFR3; FCG3;
Research Area
Receptor for the Fc region of IgG. Binds complexed or aggregated IgG and also monomeric IgG. Mediates antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) and other antibody-dependent responses, such as phagocytosis.
Biological Process
Cell surface receptor signaling pathway Source: GO_Central
Immune response Source: ProtInc
Regulation of immune response Source: GO_Central
Cellular Location
Secreted; Cell membrane. Exists also as a soluble receptor.
Involvement in disease
Immunodeficiency 20 (IMD20):
A rare autosomal recessive primary immunodeficiency characterized by functional deficiency of NK cells. Affected individuals typically present with severe herpes viral infections, particularly Epstein Barr virus (EBV), and human papillomavirus (HPV).
Topology
Extracellular: 17-208
Helical: 209-229
Cytoplasmic: 230-254
PTM
Glycosylated. Contains high mannose- and complex-type oligosaccharides. Glycosylation at Asn-180 is mandatory for high affinity binding to the Fc and for discrimination between fucosylated and afucosylated IgG glycoforms.
The soluble form is produced by a proteolytic cleavage.
