Human Dry Eye Disease Antibody Array (Glass Slide, 40 Targets) (Y0133) (AbAr-0133-YC)

Antibody array is a specific form of protein microarray. In this technology, capture antibodies spotted on membranes or glass slide bind to specific target proteins present in the sample. Captured proteins are visualized using chemiluminescent or Laser Scanner. The signal produced is proportional to the amount of analyte bound. The Human Dry Eye Disease Antibody Array detects 40 DED associated cytokines. It is suitable for all liquid sample types.

Background

Introduction
Dry eye syndrome (DES), also known as keratoconjunctivitis sicca (KCS), is the condition of having dry eyes. Other associated symptoms include irritation, redness, discharge, and easily fatigued eyes. Dry eye occurs when either the eye does not produce enough tears or when the tears evaporate too quickly.
