Format
Lyophilized
Reconstitution
Allow the vial and reconstitution buffer to equilibrate to room temperature. Briefly centrifuge or tap down the vial to ensure that all lyophilized powder is collected at the bottom of the vial. For the reconstitution of this product, we recommend adding PBS or sterile water to achieve a final antibody concentration of 1 mg/mL. Allow the vial to reconstitute for 10-15 minutes at room temperature with gentle agitation. Avoid vigorous shaking that can cause foaming and antibody denaturation. Aliquot into volumes based on your experiment and store liquid protein at -20°C or -80°C for long time.
Buffer
Lyophilized from sterile PBS
Preservative
None
Storage
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20°C to -80°C. Store it under sterile conditions at -20°C to -80°C. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
More Infomation

Target

Full Name
Platelet Derived Growth Factor Subunit B
Function
Growth factor that plays an essential role in the regulation of embryonic development, cell proliferation, cell migration, survival and chemotaxis. Potent mitogen for cells of mesenchymal origin (PubMed:26599395).
Required for normal proliferation and recruitment of pericytes and vascular smooth muscle cells in the central nervous system, skin, lung, heart and placenta. Required for normal blood vessel development, and for normal development of kidney glomeruli. Plays an important role in wound healing. Signaling is modulated by the formation of heterodimers with PDGFA (By similarity).

Involvement in disease
Basal ganglia calcification, idiopathic, 5 (IBGC5):
A form of basal ganglia calcification, an autosomal dominant condition characterized by symmetric calcification in the basal ganglia and other brain regions. Affected individuals can either be asymptomatic or show a wide spectrum of neuropsychiatric symptoms, including parkinsonism, dystonia, tremor, ataxia, dementia, psychosis, seizures, and chronic headache. Serum levels of calcium, phosphate, alkaline phosphatase and parathyroid hormone are normal. The neuropathological hallmark of the disease is vascular and pericapillary calcification, mainly of calcium phosphate, in the affected brain areas.
