Target

Full Name
Adhesion G Protein-Coupled Receptor B2
Introduction
This gene encodes a a seven-span transmembrane protein that is thought to be a member of the secretin receptor family. The encoded protein is a brain-specific inhibitor of angiogenesis. The mature peptide may be further cleaved into additional products. Orphan G-protein coupled receptor involved in cell adhesion and probably in cell-cell interactions. This protein activates NFAT-signaling pathway, a transcription factor, via the G-protein GNAZ. It's also involved in angiogenesis inhibition.

PTM
Autoproteolytic processes at the GPS domain; this cleavage modulates receptor activity. Additionally, furin is involved in the cleavage at another site, in the middle of the extracellular domain, generating a soluble fragment.
Glycosylated.
