Mouse Anti-APAF1 Recombinant Antibody (5E11) in IHC

The immunohistochemical expression of proapoptotic proteins in HSA-treated tumors compared to the tumors of the non-treated control. A = positive control for immunohistochemistry (IHC) analysis, B = positive control for study (group bearing breast cancer but received no treatment), and C = 1.0 g/kg HSA. All specimens examined at 400× microscopic magnification and brown color show antibody positivity. FASLG and FADD showed no expression in tumours of all treatment groups, while, trumours in treated groups showed higher expression of proapoptotic proteins than those of the non-treated control. Function

Oligomeric Apaf-1 mediates the cytochrome c-dependent autocatalytic activation of pro-caspase-9 (Apaf-3), leading to the activation of caspase-3 and apoptosis. This activation requires ATP. Isoform 6 is less effective in inducing apoptosis.
