More Infomation

Target

Full Name
Tolypocladium inflatum cycloundecapeptide cyclosporin A
Introduction
CsA was first characterized as an antifungal compound. Thus, CsA production can be toxic to the producing fungus T. inflatum. The target of CsA was first determined as cyclophilin A (CypA) which exhibits a peptidyl-prolyl isomerase activity. Multiple cyclophilin genes are present in different organisms and have been found to play diverse biological roles, including stress tolerance, signal transduction, gene regulation, and pathogenesis.
