Target

Full Name
FOSB
Introduction
FOSB (FBJ murine osteosarcoma viral oncogene homolog B) belongs to the Fos gene family. The leucine zipper proteins of Fos gene family that can dimerize with proteins of the JUN family, thereby forming the transcription factor complex AP-1. As such, the FOS proteins have been implicated as regulators of cell proliferation, differentiation, and transformation.

Alternative Names
AP-1; G0S3; GOS3; GOSB
Function
FosB interacts with Jun proteins enhancing their DNA binding activity.
